OH MY GOODNESS.. Its been almost a quarter since i last posted.. The dust accumulated must be super thick now.

Just some updates on how i’m doing rite now.. I’m no longer with Great Eastern as a Life Planner. I’m now with People’s Association as a Community Development Executive @ Punggol Park CC. Doing well so far. 2mths into my new career. Also, I’ve officially graduated. Thank God..

The past 3 odd months were fabulous, with regular prawning sessions with my boys, and their gals. Meetups and all. And also tons of money spent on tech toys, such as an Apple Mac Mini, iPhone 3G, and a Nokia E71. Yess.. I spend. But save i do as well. I’ve also been actively on the market, so in fact, my Mac Mini is paid off using my earnings from trade.

Also, travel is something not missed. I’m still waiting for my Grad Trip to US or something. During my M.I.A time, i’ve been to Melaka with my bros and babes, and also a Cruise with my family. Thats pretty much about it if i din remember wrongly.

Btw, for all you geeks out there. PC Show 2009 is coming up. 11-14 June 2009 @ Suntec. Stay tuned for more deals and offers.

Meanwhile, drink more water and keep yourself active. Crazy weather and H1N1 makes a person go down easy.

It’s the beginning of a new year. A fresh new start and more of life’s journey.

A quick update of what’s happened so far since I’ve last blogged.

Xmas – Dinner at my gal’s place. Had a great time with my pals of 10odd years. Good food, games, just enjoying the company and all. Just the way I like it.

Oh.. Did I mention I got myself a 16GB Ipod Touch ? Hee. And it arrived the day before Xmas. I must have been a good boy all year. In fact, I’m actually writing this entry on it now. Interesting.

New Years Eve – Had dinner at Ministry of Food, Marina Square, followed by drinks at Harry’s. With the growing crowd anticipating the fireworks, we decided to go prawn fishing at Pasir Ris. The New Year was marked by my first catch, which was also the group’s first catch. Wootz ! The morning ended up around 4, after we had the prawn.

1st Day of New Year – Met the group (same ones last night) at Tampines Safra for archery session. $15 for 1hr, unlimited shots. Shared 4 lanes between the 7 of us. Ended up with a few minor casualties, but enjoyed ourselves nevertheless. Might even take up the amateur course together. After which, we went for a game of electronic darts and bowling. Dinner followed.

Well, the festive air settles, it’s more slogging till the next, which is Chinese New Year. Plans are on the way. And untill my next post, may all have a GREAT New Year, and a sucessful one ahead.

With the wink of an eye and its the holidays again. Well, the past few weeks have been crazy, with assignments due and presentations. After which was loads of feasting. And i really mean loads.

26 Nov – Dinner at Marina Square with Deming and Samuel. ( Deming’s idea of male bonding, without the gfs) Had Japanese food, followed by coffee.
28 Nov – Dinner at Kuishinbo, Suntec with Chan and gang. Japanese buffet with snow crab and sashimi. Real crazy night coz we’re all laughing real hard after dinner, about our times during secondary school.
5 Dec – Dinner with Uncle Willy at Bugis. Some Japanese-Western place. Food was quite good. Went for Old Town coffee with Sam, Deming and cousin after that.
6 Dec – Wedding Lunch with Qiuru’s family.
7 Dec – BBQ at Qiuru’s Aunt’s place. As usual, was fed real well. With wine, steak, portobello mushrooms with cheese, diced bacon and tomatoes, etc.
8 Dec – Dinner with Qiuru’s family. Simple zi-char by the pond.

Hmm… Seems like my belly is getting rounder by the day. Not forgetting a weekend trip to Malacca where it’ll be shopping, makan and sightseeing again. Then it’ll be Xmas. Time sure passes by real fast. 2 years. Thats all thats needed. Hehe..

HELLO WORLD !!! Yes yes, i’m back, and posting a long due post. After countless days of being back in SG, i must say, i do miss GZ occasionally. With osyters a dozen at 5SGD, Beer per bottle at .6SGD, Cigs per pack at 2.50SGD, etc, its easy how one can miss the land of the cheap, and fake.

Being back, i’m once again updated with news from melamine, to obama, and the most impactful, the recession which is hitting us.. Thats life..

With the start of the new semester, everything has been so fast paced. Assignments due one after another, a mixed class with eye candy to make life more interesting, and an irritating MP judging due before my birthday at the end of the month *hint hint*. All these have kept me busy, together with my girl of course.

To make life interesting of course, would be my lovely toys. 2 which have been pretty much spending more time with my girl rather than me. That would be my PSP phat and NDSL which i got in China.

Oh Oh !!! Did i mention i got myself a 22″ LCD Monitor. Its like 22″ of goodness. Well u see, my 15″ monitor from stone age had a breakout when i came back from china, like literally. The screen is covered with bubbles. Next, it decided to grow fungus, which i thought was external and is not. The thing is, the fungus grew, and covered a portion of the screen. I’ll try to post pics when i have the time. And the best part is, when i was clearing my table for the 22″ bigass, i noticed claw like marks across the screen, not indented but similar to the bubbles. Talk about weird. So anyway, i now have a 22″ with dual inputs , and the 15″ serving as a spare.

And for my advanced birthday present, i got myself a Motorola Razr2 V9 Ferrari Edition. What a mouthful.. Yes yes.. An excuse just to get a new toy, my girl would say. Though would prefer a V8 over the V9, but the V8 cost a bomb..

So thats all the update for now, and to all my fellow coursemates, do hang in there. We’ve got 3 more mths before the guys go into army, and the girls carry on studying or working. And to the rest of my friends and all, an advanced Merry Christmas, *just in case i dont blog till then..

Mid Autumn Festival

Hi people, i’m back !! Its the weekends again, and I’ll be heading back SG next friday. Best part is this coming monday is an off day for the company due to Mid Autumn Festival celebrations. And thursday would be another off day for us to prep and do some last minute shopping for our departure on friday. Only major event is a dinner on wednesday. Well, i’ll let some pictures do the talking on the wonderful seafood i had over the past weekend, and the weird. Hi all, its me again. I’m around, dont worry. Everything is good here. The 2nd bout of typhoon didn’t blow me away. Just that there has been a lack of connection to the world outside. DSTT Flash Cart – What i initially selected, but the Tiao Maos had some fake DSTT which didnt work, thus i went back the next day to hian table and got the Edge Flash Cart instead. Absolutely loving that now.

My lovely addiction. Though its seems they added milk to it, but it still taste oh-so-good. And might be similar brew style to the Kopi-O and Teh-O back in S’pore, Sock Style !!! Best coffee since being away for 30 over days.

Yes i know, i always post stuff on food. Thing is, i’m a food junkie. Easily satisfied with good and cheap food. And of course my love as well, coffee and my baby. They say in GuangZhou, or China broadly, everything with its back facing the sun is edible. This includes snake, dog, rabbits, goose, wild boar and cat, crocodile, even scorpions and worms. I haven tasted anything exotic, dont think i will for my stay here. Only weird thing tasted so far was goat’s pennis, and that was in Malaysia, Bak Kut Teh Style.

The pictures above were taken in a shop, 永盈茶餐厅 . I discovered it on my way back home after work yesterday. For the people who don’t know, i’ve moved to Foshan, Nanhai. Its like another state. I’ll try to take pictures of my home soon. Well, more about the wanton noodles. The shop as you can see is more HK style, something i dont think is commonly seen in GZ. The noodles are nicely done, with good bite, and the stock is beef stock, something else they sell. The wanton skins are smooth, with the wantons being sized just well. And as for the coffee, what else can i say since i’m a coffee junkie. Tried asking the staff if it was the sock styled, but dont think they understood me. Total damage was 23RMB, which is about $4 SGD. Abit on the mid pricing side, but well worth the money.

Hello people, its been awhile since i last post. Well, as they say in cantonese, mou feeling ar.. Haha. Weekends were a smash, with supper at a real good restaurant, followed by KTV from 1am till 6am. I must say, the KTVs here is so much better than what we have in SG. Big room, toilets with the rooms, dice games to play, pretty good sound system, absolutely fantastic ambience. What more can one ask for. And the drinks are relatively cheap.

Supper – Baked oysters with garlic. 2nd time having it. DELICIOUS ! Probably had around 6.

Supper – Crab and Prawn Porridge. Highly recommended.

As the title says, this post is about Chime-Long Paradise. Here’s something from Wikipedia.Chime-Long Paradise is a major amusement park in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Opened on April 12 2006, Chime-Long Paradise is the largest amusement park in China and boasts the Tenth Ring Roller Coaster, which shares the record for most inversions with Colossus at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England.

Chime-Long Paradise is operated by the Chime-Long Group, a China-based tourism company that also operates numerous other attractions, including the Chime-Long Circus and Panyu Xiangjiang Safari Park. Chime-Long Group reported that construction of the park cost over 1 billion RMB. Stretching over 60 hectares, the park currently contains more than 60 attractions and has a daily capacity of 50,000 visitors.

I didn’t take any pictures or videos on the ride. Lets just say its not a good ride to take the moment you enter the park, especially when you’re sitting in the front right or left corner. The speed and kick just hits you like a brick wall.
